This photo was taken by Officials from the National Weather Service in Pocatello. The "Grand Targhee area along the Idaho-Wyoming border received 5.5 inches of snow this week."
Higher elevations do tend to get snow earlier in the season than where you might be closer to Sea Level. Grand Targhee was no exception! However, keep in mind that it still happened in the end of August. In fact The Grand Targhee Ski Resort resides on a mountain who's Summit elevation is 9862 ft. The Base Area Elevation is 7851 ft. As far as snow is concerned The Caribou-Targhee National forest averages about 500 inches per year of white rain! Read more...

SNOW! A THING OF THE PAST!

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event.”  “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said. (The Independent; March 20, 2000) Warmists are actually a mass of Conflicting Impulses. These same Warmists are now claiming that the alleged Linear Warming is causing Cooling. Unbelievable! But, on this page I will be going back in time to about 9/1/2018 in order to help Dr. David Viner document snow as a "very rare and exciting event."
