From our point of view here on Earth, The Sun, Our Nearest Star is the most awesome thing in the Universe! However, we sit here and totally take for granted all of the energy it provides us. In fact, all of the energy that both our home planet along with the entire Solar System enjoys comes from the Sun. Without it life on Earth would be very different almost immediately. Obviously, this would leave many, including Al Gore wishing for a little Man Made Global Warming!

The Animation below is only 55 Seconds. However, it gives you a better idea just how massive our very own Sun is in relation to all the other Planets including Earth.
